EDX London to Adopt New Engine

EDX London currently employs the Click XT trading from Nasdaq OMX, says an LSE spokesperson. The equity derivatives business was developed by the LSE and OMX in 2003. However, the LSE purchased Nasdaq OMX's stake in the venture in December 2008.

According to officials, the Sola deployment will provide lower latency and richer functionality. The system can run 200,000 price updates per second per processing unit and deliver an average response time of less than 1 millisecond, according to the LSE
