Exchange Alliances Set to Grow
Dubbed the Caribbean Exchange Network (CXN), the alliance is designed to facilitate direct access to the instruments traded on the member exchanges, according to Marlene Street Forrest, general manager for JSE.
After conducting research in the region, JSE officials found that market participants wanted more choices when came to trading, Street Forrest says. "[They wanted] more variety in their basket in terms of stock and they were looking for stock within the region," she explains.
