Retail and institutional brokerage R.F. Lafferty has gone live with the Brass order management system (OMS) and Protegent Trading Compliance's best-execution module for Regulation NMS 605 and 606 reporting from SunGard. The firm has opted to run the platforms via the vendor's application service provider (ASP) virtual server offering, which is designed to reduce infrastructure, implementation time and maintenance costs, according to SunGard officials.
