Microsoft Rolls Out Grid Betas
The new beta offering, Windows HPC Server R2, is currently available for download from the Microsoft Web site for developers, end users and administrators, says Vince Mendillo, senior director of high-performance computing (HPC) with Microsoft. Vendor officials expect the shipping version of the new release will be available mid-year 2010 after making sure that its stability and performance meet clients' needs, he adds.
