EEX, Powernext to Integrate Systems
Powernext's board approved the merger with EEX in December 2007, intending to accelerate the integration process of the European energy market. The exchanges intend to standardize products, processes and technology, says Hans-Bernd Menzel, CEO of EEX. "It makes sense and we'll work hard on that in the coming weeks and months," he says, adding that details are not available yet.
