TMX Makes Final Quantum Leap

The Canadian exchange migrated to the new platform by the end of May, according to Thomas Kloet, the recently appointed CEO of TMX Group (DWT, June 16). "Quantum is now fully up and running with average response times in the single-digit millisecond range," Kloet says.

TSX, which announced plans to merge with MX late last year (DWT, Dec. 17, 2007), hopes to partially realize annual synergies as early as the second half of this year, according to officials who spoke during a recent earnings call
