Nomura Deploys Xaqua as Single-Dealer Front End

Vendor officials say it took the bank 14 weeks to develop and deploy the front end, which is based on Caplin's new Xaqua Web-based multi-asset trading platform.

Nomura officials decline to comment. However, the platform's design means that it can be easily extended to incorporate new asset classes or portals, says Abid Zaidi, global head of fixed income e-commerce IT with Nomura, in a statement.

Nomura is the fourth bank that has implemented the platform, says Paul Caplin, CEO of Caplin Systems.
