Corpora Launches News Parsing Platform
LONDON—Guildford, U.K.-based text analytic software vendor Corpora announced today that it has launched a newsfeed parsing application, dubbed NewsAlpha, that will provide the necessary fuel for newsflow trading algorithms, Corpora officials tell DWT.
The Web-services-based platform scans generic unstructured XML-tagged newsfeeds and assigns each corporate entity several metrics, including sentiment, relevance and uniqueness rating mentioned in individual news items.
