Toronto Stock Exchange Readies ATX

ATX, plans for which were announced in 2006, will match firm order flow against in-house interest as well as the undeclared interest of other market participants, TSX Group officials say.

"It's effectively built and there's some additional functionality that we are working on, but the launch is on track," says Richard Nesbitt, CEO of TSX Group, who spoke during the exchange's second quarter conference call last week.

The ATX platform will use the same hardware as the TSX's new internally developed
