Sumeet Shendrikar, director of technology for financial services at RTI, says the move is being driven by the need to optimize data distribution speeds at end-user firms, both between internal applications and for external publication, as well as by a desire to simplify the deployment of best-of-breed technologies, reduce associated support and maintenance costs, and make it easier to migrate off underperforming or costly components.
