ICB Admits Problems with Historical Data

The Industry Classification Benchmark has admitted that some clients have questioned the level of historical data covered by the index classification system from Dow Jones and FTSE.

Paul Grimes, chief operating officer at FTSE, says ICB officials met with three investment banks after they implemented ICB on Jan. 2.

"We talked through their requirements and met with them again last week because each of them had different requirements, and we are now working on delivering those requirements for them
