STAC: Multi-Core Suns Tame Opera
According to the research, the configuration tested by STAC achieved a throughput of 359,000 updates per second for Opra data, at latency of just over 500 microseconds. This means that the Opra peaks of 716,000 messages per second projected for next January could theoretically be handled by only two servers, says STAC director Peter Lankford.
