Officials from AC Capital could not be reached for comment by press time. However, CDO² director Gary Kendall confirms that the asset manager was an existing client of the vendor’s CDOSheet pricing and analytics, but had previously used dedicated processors on Sun’s grid to power the application. “Our customers have been using [the grid solution] for some time, but up until now … whether they used the system or not, they had to pay for the computer time,” Kendall says.
