Merrill Lynch Canada plans to install approximately 700 of Star Data Inc.'s Starquote online data terminals, bolstering Star Data's position as one of Canada's leading quote vendors. The Merrill Lynch installation will push Star Data's screen count over the 3000 mark. Starquote supplies data from Canadian and U.S. stock, option and commodity exchanges.
The Starquote system utilizes a centralized ticker plant located in Toronto that feeds UNIX-based terminal controllers located at the client site
