November saw the unveiling of the long-awaited ART 2000 and the announcement that Reuters will introduce its portable Pocketwatch service in the U.S. for the first time.
Pocketwatch, to be launched first in Chicago, is aimed at currency traders. It will provide bid prices against the U.S. dollar for sterling, Canadian dollars, Deutschemarks, yen, and Swiss francs, plus London gold and the long bond. The data will be extracted from the Monitor service via the SDS2 Marketfeed.
