PBS/IMNET Data Delivery System Will Not Come To Pass; IMNET To Move Ahead With Vastly Curtailed Network

International Marketnet and PBS Enterprises will go their separate ways in development of VBI data broadcasting systems. The two companies acknowledge that several months ago Imnet quietly let its option on PBS capacity expire, and that their ambitious plans for jointly marketing data broadcasting services will most likely not come to fruition.
The full story isn't out yet, because the complex relationship among PBS, Imnet, and Imnet parents IBM and Merrill Lynch has yet to be fully untangled
