IBM, Quotron Come Closer For Network, Support As RS/6000 Work Continues

The service, support and network agreement IBM signed with Quotron Systems Inc. two weeks ago brings the two as close as possible without Big Blue actually acquiring the market data vendor. IBM will provide a customer support center, dispatch field support, and manage Quotron's network, using IBM's backbone.
The five-year deal leaves sales, marketing, development, and a ticker plant in Quotron's hands. But one hand is holding IBM's: IBM's account management group will help schedule and implement
