We have long held that Internet free lunches are history, especially for power users. More evidence of this comes with the decision by Pearson PLC’s Financial Times to charge for access to some of its information and archives. Oh, there is still "free" information, like the latest news and data, analysis and comment, e-mail news alerts and access to a seven-day archive. But after that, users have to pay.
FT.com’s Level 1 access costs £75 ($110) a year and includes all FT journalism, archival
