Opra Sets New Model For Pricing; May Be Industry Precursor

The Options Price Reporting Authority (Opra) is set to vote on whether to adopt an enterprise licensing fee model that would replace the existing desk unit-based exchange fee system. The plan, which could be a precursor of similar models for other exchanges, is the result of discussions between Opra and the Securities Industry Association. If all goes according to plan, Opra will implement the new fee structure by January 1.
