With Its Windows-Based Munifacts, Thomson Adds Broker Quotes, Analytics

Thomson's Bond Buyer Municipal Information Group unit later this month will begin outfitting its Munifacts Plus customers with a new Microsoft Corp. Windows-based version of its municipal securities data and news platform, to be called simply Munifacts. With the Windows release come broker quotes, analytics and an upgraded network for faster information delivery.
The launch of the new data platform comes weeks after the group's two largest rivals -- Bloomberg and McGraw-Hill Inc.'s J.J. Kenny Co
