O Canada! U.S. Quote Vendors Aim At Big Brokers Up North

The Yankees are coming! Two of Canada's largest retail brokerage firms -- Scotia McLeod Inc. and Wood Gundy Inc. have been invaded by representatives of U.S.-based quote vendors ADP and ILX, who have been gunning for their business. And while the two U.S.-based vendors haven't exactly taken over the territory to the north, they were the runners-up in the race for Scotia's 925 brokers and remain in close contention for Wood Gundy's 700. Quotron, however, was nowhere in sight in Canada.
