Equatorial Communications Co. is negotiating to buy Bonneville Telecommunications Corp., the loss-plagued quote vendor and data network operator (MTR, March 1986). If successful, Equatorial is expected to spin off Bonneville's profitable Market Monitor futures quote business and retain only its money-losing FM sideband data network.
