What Happened To OS/2? Dean Witter Rolls ILX For Windows To Nearly Half Its 10,000 Brokers

Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. has equipped half of its 10,000 retail brokers with Microsoft Corp. Windows-based workstations from ILX and is using ILX's network to deliver data and services -- despite stated plans to use IBM's OS/2 as an operating environment and network services from Sears Technology Services.
With 5,000 brokers now using ILX for Windows, sources say the firm now intends to continue installing Windows and retro-fit the IBM PS/2 workstations with OS/2 at a later date. Data will be
