WG 11 Starts its Slow Climb

Working Group 11, the group charged with developing a data model for financial instruments, has begun drawing up its mission statement and agenda, says group convenor Sandra Throne, director of industry standards at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. (DTCC).

The group formed to create a single securities data model and a technical specification for financial instruments throughout their lifecycle. The data dictionary would incorporate message definitions from a variety of standards, such as
