Tech Op Betas Mobile Reuters Data Service

Swiss data software vendor Tech Op will roll out this week the first test site of BlackBerry mobile devices running its Excalibur software, which allows users to remotely access Reuters data on their RMDS data distribution infrastructure.
The system is aimed at large banks that are using Reuters’ RMDS and need to provide their sales and trading staff with mobile data devices, but that don’t want to pay extra data fees, says Tech Op CEO David Poole.
