Reuters Cancels TV2000 Project; Proposed Service Lacked Market, Sources Say

Reuters Holdings PLC has canceled its planned TV2000 service because of a lack of interest in the targeted market. The move brings to an end, for the time being at least, Reuters' flirtation with television services for analysts.
A Reuters spokesman declines to comment on whether TV2000 has been discontinued. He says TV2000 is a television pilot project that is in client testing involving 50 clients. The spokesman says TV2000 was never launched as a Reuters product. Reuters, however, ran a four
