New Zealand Exchange Readies New Market

EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGIES

WELLINGTON, New Zealand--The New Zealand Exchange (NZX) is on target to adapt its trading system for a new alternative market, focusing on small- and medium-sized companies in September this year.

NZX officials say the system will be ready to go live after the New Zealand Alternative Exchange’s (NZAX’s) listings rules are finalized in August. NZAX is being introduced for companies to list who are not suited to the NZX market because of their size and structure. The exchange’s current trading
