Exane: Slow Europe Plays STPCatch-up

PARIS--French broker Exane now moves the majority of its volume electronically, having rolled out an order management system (OMS) last year to automate its links with buy-side firms for straight through processing. STP is one of the few places where the broker is still spending money on IT, says Guillaume Lacronique, head of equity trading technology at Exane in Paris.

"A year ago Exane was paper-based," Lacronique says. "Europe is a bit late into STP and OMS solutions compared with UK brokers,"
