State Street Deploys Compliance Tool, Advances Straight-Through Processing Strategy

State Street Corp. deployed a post-trade compliance system late last year as part of the giant global custodian's long-range strategy of building tools for straight-through processing. Called the Investment Policy Compliance, or IPM, system, the tool is already installed on several hundred workstations and will be on several thousand by the middle of the year, says James MacDonald, a State Street senior vice president who was recently promoted to chief information officer.
