NEW YORK--The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the U.S. financial markets regulator, is mulling more changes to the national securities trading market structure, fueling speculation about the impacts upon the automation initiatives of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the IT infrastructures of user firms.
At its Dec. 15 meeting, the SEC is slated to vote on whether to publish and open for comment changes it is proposing to the Regulation NMS (National Market System) national market
