ValuBond Ousts Sun Servers, Uses Savvis
TRADING FLOOR TECHNOLOGIES
ATLANTA--In a bid to cut infrastructure costs, fixed-income electronic trading network ValuBond is rapidly replacing Sun Microsystems Sparc/Solaris hardware with Linux-Intel platforms from Hewlett-Packard.
ValuBond is also switching from leased telecom lines to a managed virtual private network (VPN) from Savvis Communications, officials tell TTW.
