Bloomberg is changing the footprint of its Bloomberg Classic terminals, phasing out CRTs in favour of flat screens. Says Lou Eccleston, Bloomberg's director of sales and marketing, "We'll provide CRTs until we run out." He adds that flat panel displays save desk space and don't emit radiation. In addition, Bloomberg is looking to team up with third-party trading systems developers, who offer to integrate their products with the Bloomberg platform.
