Reuters Triples Budget For Year 2000 Product & Services Conversion Program

LONDON--Reuters is planning to nearly triple its Year 2000 product conversion budget in 1998 over last year.

Keeping its promise to reveal more about its plans, Reuters last month announced it had earmarked £31 million (approximately $47 million) for its so-called Millennium Program in 1998. The company will also devote 1,145 man years this year on development and upgrades as part of the Millennium Program. Last year, Reuters spent £11 million (about $17 million) and 275 man-years in its efforts
