LSE May Find New Home for 130 SEAQ Stocks

LONDON--The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is considering a new home for the 130 securities in the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) 350 index that reside on the Stock Exchange Automated Quotation (SEAQ) service, officials confirmed last week.
The exchange is attempting to play down a story in the Guardian early last week that said the exchange was proposing to shut down the quote-driven trading system, thus causing market makers to be put out of business.
