Every so often, I come across a young company that has managed to escape the radar but nonetheless deserves attention. One such vendor is Wombat Consulting, the brainchild of Ron Verstappen, president of the Lake Tahoe, Nev.-based concern. Verstappen, an Australian, is a Tibco Finance Technology (TFT) veteran, who joined the Teknekron Software Systems London office about a dozen years ago while on vacation. He later found himself in Palo Alto, Calif., chalking up five years for Tibco. Last week
