CBOE Direct Launches After Several Delays

CHICAGO--The Chicago Board Options Exchange has launched CBOE Direct, a screen-based trading platform for members trading selected products before the open-outcry trading floor opens.
The system debuted with the trading of options on the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index (DJX), and options on Russell 2000 and the S&P 500 (OEX) are to follow in the coming weeks, says chief technology officer Jerry O’Connell.
