What is FpML?

The Financial Products Markup Language (FpML), proposed by JP Morgan and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), is an XML-based markup language for currency and interest rate derivatives that will allow financial institutions to exchange derivative transactions using the Internet. The FpML specification, which is freely licensed, will create a standard within capital markets
