Asiff Hirji joined Ameritrade last month as its new executive vice president, chief information officer (CIO) from Bain & Co. where he led the IT Strategy practice for the company’s New York office. Ameritrade is fresh from its acquisition of Datek, former parent of the Island ECN.

What do you see as your role at Ameritrade?
