A number of firms moved or opened new trading floors in 1996, beginning with Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette's move last spring from 140 Broadway to 277 Park Avenue (TST, March 4). The new 550-position trading facility is marked by a new Reuters Triarch 2000 digital data distribution system, Quotron Software Systems' retail quote network, asynchronous transfer mode as the communications infrastructure for applications and switched Ethernet for data distribution
