SUPERMONTAGE’S OTC LEVELS DROP
Nasdaq announced last week that SuperMontage accounted for 17 percent of over-the-counter (OTC) volume and 21.2 percent of OTC trades in June. These statistics represent SuperMontage’s lowest levels since Nasdaq began releasing market share statistics for the new trading system late last year. Comparatively, ArcaEx had 15.3 percent of OTC volume, with Instinet weighing in at 17.1 percent, and Island (owned by Instinet) at 9.9 percent.
