Reuters’ Hunt: Lower Costs, More Efficiency

LONDON--Straight through processing is the biggest IT issue for banks today and in the medium to long term, says Mark Hunt, Reuters’ head of Enterprise Solutions marketing.

"The biggest IT issue facing banks is cost reduction and driving efficiency into their trading operations," says Hunt. "In the IT sense, this means that middleware, connectivity, workflow management and cost of ownership are likely to be key issues in 2002."
