Bridge CEO Tom Wendel Announces Intention to Retire

NEW YORK--In a move that has surprised many, Tom Wendel, chairman and CEO of Bridge Information Systems, has notified the board of directors that he intends to resign effective Jan. 31, 2001. Wendel will remain active in the company’s management and in the selection of a new CEO.

Sources report that Wendel’s successor is expected to come from the outside. The company’s strategy is to find a seasoned veteran executive and bring that individual up to speed as the company progresses with its plans
