Long-Term Capital Management Taps C.ats Software; Embarks On Upgrade And Switches To C/C++, Sybase

Long-Term Capital Management (LTCM) has standardized its multicurrency interest-rate derivatives back-office, accounting and reporting functions on applications from C.ats Software Inc. According to officials at the firm, the Greenwich, Conn.-based hedge fund is using the C.ats systems alongside a raft of inhouse-developed pricing, analytic and risk management systems. In addition, LTCM has embarked on a systems upgrade, switching to a new-generation platform using the C and C++ programming
