Will April prove the cruelest month for Globex Corp.? That's the question haunting the joint venture's three partners as they wait to see whether the system will meet the contractual volume and terminal requirements that come due then.
Officials at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade say that if volume on Globex doesn't reach or exceed 50,000 contracts a night on average by April of 1994, each partner -- including Reuters -- can walk away from the agreement.
