Boston Prepares for a 'Fast' NYSE

The news this week from the Boston Stock Exchange (BSE) that it is working to make itself a "fast" market is a harbinger of things to come for the regional exchanges. It's likely that they are struggling to sort out a future in the event that the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is designated a "fast" market via the Regulation National Market System (NMS) debate and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), cautions Jodi Burns, an analyst with Celent Communications.
