Reuters Holdings PLC's failure to implement its TRIARCH 2000 trading system on Sun Microsystems Inc. 386i workstations at National Westminster Bank in London (TST, Oct. 9) has sparked concern on Wall Street and in London's City financial district that a trading room based on Sun 386is may be impractical.
But earlier this year, Swiss Bank Corp. in London implemented a Sun-based trading system serving 350 positions. The system uses Sun 386i Model 150 workstations linked by an Ethernet local area
