FSA Considering Tighter Controls For Electronic Communications Networks (ECNs)

LONDON--The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK’s market watchdog, is considering whether it should tighten regulations governing electronic communications networks (ECNs), and other electronic trading systems.

The London-based regulator released a discussion paper last week on the subject, ahead of the implementation of the Financial Services and Markets Bill, which is expected to become law in UK in the second quarter of this year.
