DTCC Opens Satellite Office in Florida
CONTINUITY AND RECOVERY
NEW YORK—The Depository Trust and Clearing Corp. (DTCC) opened a new operating and back-up center in Tampa, Fla., last month in response to business continuity concerns, officials tell DWT.
Approximately 500 employees are expected to be working at the location by the end of 2006, officials say. DTCC will keep its primary center of more than 2,000 people in New York.
The move is considered controversial by at least one industry observer, who says the DTCC might be criticized for leaving New York.
