OPTIMARK APPROVAL FOR NASDAQ GRANTED

: The US Securities and Exchange Commission last week approved the pilot integration of the Optimark Trading System into the Nasdaq Stock Market's existing network, making Optimark a facility of Nasdaq, a project nearly two years in the making (TTW, January 19, 1998). The Nasdaq/Optimark system, an anonymous, electronic matching system for equities, is slated to go live next Monday, October 11, with a preliminary set of 10 symbols picked from theOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
