MORGAN STANLEY, OM UNVEIL TRADING SYSTEM
OM Group, the Swedish stock exchange technology company, and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter have announced plans for a new Internet-based trading system for European and US shares.
The trading system, called Jiway, will begin operations in September 2000. It aims to tap what OM sees as a growing market for cross-border retail share trading by giving traders and brokers a plug and trade solution with a single point of access.
The 100 million euro ($97.7 million)
